A tungsten carbide ball is a high-hardness spherical material sintered from tungsten carbide (WC) powder and a metal binder, such as cobalt. It possesses extremely high hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and good mechanical strength, and is commonly used in precision industrial applications that require high load-bearing capacity, friction, or wear resistance.

High hardness and wear resistance: The hardness of tungsten carbide balls can typically reach 8.5–9.5 on the Mohs scale (or 88–95 HRA), far exceeding that of ordinary steel, enabling them to maintain stable shape and reduce wear over long-term use
High density and strength: With a density of approximately 14.5–15 g/cm³, it is close to pure tungsten and offers excellent compressive strength and quality stability, making it suitable for bearings, valves, and measuring instruments
Corrosion resistance: It exhibits strong resistance to acids, alkalis, salt spray, and other environments, making it suitable for use in humid, chemical, or marine environments
Dimensional accuracy: Micron-level tolerances can be achieved through precision grinding, meeting the needs of high-precision machinery such as micro bearings and sensors
